Dottie
My name is Dottie. I am a very small, black female, and I am about 3-4 years old. I weigh only 45 lbs right now - but I do need to gain a bit. I am housebroken, crate trained, good with dogs, and very quiet and well behaved. I love to ride in the car and I love to just lay quietly at someone’s feet. My foster family rarely puts me in my crate since I am so well behaved.
I came from a shelter that couldn’t adopt me out because I have heartworms. So, LRR agreed to take me and treat me. The vet also learned that I have Lyme disease. I have been spayed and now I am waiting to begin my heartworm treatment. While I am waiting, I am on medication for the lyme disease.
The vet says that I am a very low positive for heartworms, so I should breeze through the treatment with no problem. And I have no signs of having Lyme disease, but I was tested for it just in case - guess that was a good idea! So pretty soon, I will be as good as new and ready for a new home.
My foster mom calls me a pocket lab since I am so petite…and she always holds my face close and calls me a “little dot”. I think she likes me! I love to sleep on the dog bed in her room next to one of the resident labs.
I would be a perfect fit for a small condo or townhouse. I wouldn’t take up much room at all. So if you think you might like for me to move in and keep you company, let me know. I would love to have a new forever home!
