Cosmo
Hi there, my name is Cosmo. I am a very handsome, yellow male and I am 2.5 years old. I am neutered, housebroken, crate trained, good with dogs and I love people. I am Mr. Personality!
I was turned into the shelter by my family. I injured my leg over a year ago and they didn’t follow up with the vet to get it fixed… so I ended up in the shelter. LRR’s vet was very upset that I had an injury for so long and had not been treated.
LRR took me in and learned that I had torn all the ligaments in my right rear leg… so, I had to have surgery to repair it. I think that maybe the expense might have been the reason my owners couldn’t keep me, LRR spend a lot of money getting my leg fixed up. But I am going to be as good as new. It seems that cruciate ligament surgery is something that a lot of labs have to go through.
As you can see from the photos, I still have my cast on. But I am doing great - feeling great and I can’t wait to get out and run and play. The Doctor says I can’t run and play til at least the end of October… what a long time to wait!
Anyway, I am a good boy and I will need an active home. Maybe a home with some 10-12 year old kids would be fun! I love going for walks, chasing tennis balls and playing with people or other dogs. I love car rides too. My foster mom says that I am going to be a goofy, funny boy when I am all healed and ready to go.
So, if you think that I might be a good fit for your family, please apply. But remember, I won’t be able to leave LRR til the end of October.
