Gil
Howdy everyone, my name is Gil. Even if I say so my self I am a handsome sweet young boy that is just waiting to steal your heart. I am a 2 year old neutered male, house-broken, crate-trained and up-to-date on all my shots. I am a happy healthy fellow at around 78 lbs.
I have one of those stories that you need a score card to keep straight. My first owner bought me as a puppy from a breeder. I lived with my family that included a 5 year old girl and everything was fine for the first 1.5 years. Then my dad assumed full custody of the girl and there was just too much going on so I got sent to live with my grandparents to make sure I got “cared” for properly. The only problem was, while my grandmother loved me, she was allergic to me so I was kept outside on the deck. That was the pits. I was lonely and when winter time came it was cold! So, my grandparents called LRR.
Ever since I came to LRR, I have been having a great time romping with all of the other dogs. We get along great and I have so much fun playing chase and tug. I also like to chase the tennis balls my foster parents throw. And I’m pretty good about bringing it back to you too.
My foster mom says that I am medium energy. What that means is that I am pretty calm inside the house but like to be active outside the house. I am very well behaved and know my manners. I do have a frisky and silly side, however. It is just enough to make you laugh but definitely not over the top like that Marley. I want to be with you and will look at you for direction. I love to snuggle and would love to spend these cold winter evenings cuddling with my family while we watch American Idol. But other times I am just as content to sleep on my dog bed or chew bones while lying at your feet.
I have seen a couple cats recently while in foster care and want to run up to them to check them out but my foster mom keeps telling me no. As time goes on, I am getting used to them lurking around and they don’t seem like such a novelty.
As you can see from my pictures I am quite handsome with one of the most luscious creamy white colored coats you can find. I have lots of affection and loyalty to give and I would love to find a forever home with people who will continue to teach me things. Doggie siblings would be great, cats probably won’t be a problem and some human siblings would be nice too!
