Sadie May
Hi Y’all…I am SADIE MAY. I am a gorgeous 3.5 year old yellow girl, ready for a new family. You’ll get all the great things you’re looking for - I’m spayed, up to date on shots, housebroken, crate trained, good with dogs and cats, I LOVE people, and I can chase a tennis ball with the best of them; cuddlin’ is a good thing too! Oh, I weigh in at 85 lbs, and I am medium energy dog - or so they tell me!
I bet you want to know how I got to LRR since they give me such a high rating. The shelter called LRR because I kept showing up there. My owners were nice people, but they didn’t have a fence so they let me run all the time.
Much to my surprise, one day, I felt a little funny and WHOOPS - 10 puppies showed up! They were mixed up puppies, you know lab and something else, all because my owners didn’t keep me confined and didn’t seek family planning for me.
Well, I took care of my puppies in the shelter, and they all got new homes. Then, it was MY turn. The shelter people really loved me, so they called their favorite rescue to help find me a new home.
As soon as I got to LRR, I took a trip to the vet for family planning. I won’t be having any more puppies, thank goodness - there are plenty out there for people that want them.
So, what I have been doing, lets see, running and playing, and I have lots of new lab friends. I am having so much fun. I am just smiling all the time.
I am very well behaved, I love to lay at my foster Moms feet while she works on the computer. And I will follow her everywhere. My foster Dad, well, I have him wrapped around my paw. He LOVES me…he talks to me when he thinks no one is listening. He whispers sweet nothings in my ear – it just makes me so happy! And my foster brothers are really great too, we play and I have them wrapped around the other paw! Mom’s got my number - but thats okay - us girls have to stick together.
Anyway, my perfect home would have a really great Mom that loves to have a labbie tag along everywhere. And I’d like a Dad that talks to me a lot. I wouldn’t mind having some doggie brothers or sisters, but people are my favorite.
I also will need an endless supply of tennis balls. Wait til you see what I can do…I toss one in the air and catch when it comes down. I’ll chase the tennis balls and keep bringing them back for you to throw. And when I want to play and you don’t, I can entertain myself by pushing or tossing the tennis balls and chasing them. Of course, when we get tired, we can just watch a movie or take a nap - I’m up for that too!
I’m sort of a “no assembly” required labbie - and a cute one at that. So, if you think I could fit into your household, be sure to put my name in the right spot on your application.
Hope to meet you soon!
