Daffy

No, I am not a giant, black duck with orange feet, but I am a cute little black female labby about 3 years old and 70 pounds. I am a medium energy girl - housebroken, crate trained, spayed and up to date on all my shots.

Would you believe that no one claimed me from the shelter? The people at LRR can’t. I know lots of commands and they keep telling me how cute I am and of course, I never tire of hearing it. I always sit nicely for food and treats and my foster mom calls me her little love bug because I just adore cuddles and hugs.

Did I mention, I just LOVE people? They are the best!!! They are the keepers of the food, the treats and the toys. They are just wonderful. My foster mommy says she wishes she was the person I think she is. The way I look up at her with my big eyes just says I want nothing more than to make her happy. I don’t want to do anything that displeases her (all she has to do is say “no” and I obey) and I am always ready to help. If she calls my foster brother and he doesn’t come, I’ll go and get him for her.

I love to carry soft toys around and I love to retrieve. I will bring that tennis ball back every time and beat the other dogs to it. I’m really good at it. I’m fast, too.

Other dogs are okay but they are just not the same as people. I could live in a house with them - I get along with them but I’d rather be the center of my owner’s attention.
