Jerry
Did you know that the name JERRY is #138 on the favorite names list? Well, my name is JERRY and I plan to be #1 on someones list. I was born 3/13/2001, I am a handsome and dashing black male weighing in at 91 lbs. I come housebroken, crate trained, neutered, up to date on my shots, and with all of that - you get my dynamic personality too! So, what do you say - want to meet me???
Here’s my story….I originally lived with a family that ended up in divorce. They sort of divorced me too, and I was only 2 years old then. While I lived there, I lived indoors. Then I went to live with a man that was a breeder.
The breeder had my hips, elbows and eyes certified so that he would know that I was healthy. Woudn’t you know that I passed with flying colors. This man used me for breeding until about 1 year ago.
Next, I went to live a man that was a Disabled Veteran; his dog had died, and he wanted a new pet. Because he wasn’t able to take very good care of me, he would tie me out on chain. One day, he just put me outside and I left to go on a hike. And as the story always goes, I ended up in the shelter. Which is probably a good thing.
The breeder was called because I have a tattoo that leads back to him. He told everyone my story, but didn’t want me back if they could find me a good home. So, here I am!
I am a charming big guy, with quite the smile–my photos show you my personality!. I’m funny too, I’ll make you laugh, probably every day - and that will be good for both of us. I really don’t come with any weird quirks like some dogs, I am just a happy go lucky, nice guy.
Just for the record, I am great with kids–love ‘em, even the little ones, like the 2.5 yr old that I have been lucky enough to spend some time with. I don’t like cats, I figure they are good exercise for me, I like to chase them and bark at them. I do like other dogs, we can play or just relax, whatever makes everyone happy is fine with me.
One of my foster homes had an inground pool, well, I’m not the water kind of guy. I like lounging by the pool, watching everyone. Sorry - I know you all expect labs to be water dogs - but that’s just not in the cards for me.
Oh, I do have one quirk, I like laps, you know, so I can get really close and lay in someones lap. Yes, I like to be outdoors and walks and playing, and I like to chew on my bones, and toys…but a lap is a terrible thing to waste if I could be in it!
Okay, now, go to the application page, put in all of the info that LRR needs, and hit the submit button. I’ll be checking the apps daily - maybe I’ll get to try out your lap sometime soon!
