Newton
I am “Mr. Personality”, otherwise known as Newton. I’m a 2-year-old, black, neutered male and am up-to-date on all my shots. I am on the smaller side at about 60 lbs. I’m also housbroken and crate trained.
I came to a shelter as a stray and thought I was in luck when a lady wanted to adopt me right away. Well, for some reason, she never came back to get me. My luck picked up again when LRR came to get my shelter buddy, London, and decided they had room for me too.
By the way I acted at first, my foster mom wasn’t sure anyone had ever paid attention to me. However, I learned VERY quickly that people give wonderful pats and snuggles. My lab foster brothers taught me how to play with toys and games like chase. I didn’t know what to do right away, and was very much like a younger brother trying to keep up with the big kids. I caught on fast, and now romp in the yard and pick through every toy in the basket.
Since I’m still a youngster, I’m pretty active. I’m good in my crate during the day, but when everyone gets home from work, I’m ready to PLAY! I enjoy running and wrestling with other dogs as well as retrieving toys and playing tug-of war. I’ll also amuse myself with soft squeeky toys. I do have a sweet, affectionate side and will cuddle in front of the TV after I’ve unwound a bit in the evenings.
So, if you want all the playfulness of a puppy with none of the mess, I may be just the guy for you!
