Jocelyn

Hi everyone! I’m Joycelyn (or Joyce for short), a 3 year old, spayed, yellow female who is completely housebroken and crate-trained and up to date on my shots.

But you see, that’s just the problem – I spent way too much time IN my crate. My family, who took me to a shelter, used to keep me in a crate in the basement all day, or sometimes in a fenced-in run in the back yard. I like my crate just fine - it’s a great place to sleep, ride in a car, or just hang out sometimes, but I desperately wanted the attention of my family.

LRR thinks my family didn’t know much about dogs because they didn’t understand my behavior at all. Anybody knows that we labbies will do just about anything you ask in exchange for a treat, a scratch behind the ears or a tummy rub!!!

So, here I find myself in search of a new family who will actually spend time with me, maybe even get me a couple of fun toys to keep me busy. I’m a very good girl, in great shape (at least my former family took me for regular vet visits!). I am very willing to learn if someone will teach me, or even better go to school with me!

I think I could fit in easily with just about any family - kids, other dogs, cats, you name it! Or, I’d be just as happy to be the center of attention in somebody’s life.
