The Loyal Order of Labradors™ (LOL) was established in 2003 by Labrador Retriever Rescue, Inc. (LRR) to provide assistance to Adopters and their Labrador Retriever Rescue, Inc. dogs aged seven years or older.
Katie
IN MEMORY OF KATIE, WHO CROSSED THE RAINBOW BRIDGE IN DECEMBER 2007. Katie was adopted in 2000 at the age of 3. Katie loves to go for leisurely walks with her family. While Mom and Dad work, Katie has a dog walker take her for walks too. She loves to go for car rides, help run errands and get lots of petting time in. Katie is healty, happy and doing great! (5/04)
Harley
IN MEMORY OF HARLEY, WHO CROSSED THE RAINBOW BRIDGE IN DECEMBER 2009, AT AGE 13. Adopted at the age of 3, in 1999, Harley is enjoying his stress free life! His favorite things are play time of hide and seek and story time for his human brother. Harley just lives for belly rubs!!! (5/04)
Mac
IN MEMORY OF MAC, WHO CROSSED THE RAINBOW BRIDGE IN APRIL 2010, AT ABOUT AGE 14. Mac got a new home in 1999 at the age of 3 or 4. He is in excellent health and is a classic couch potato. He enjoys playing with his younger LRR brother, Bert, as long as he doesn’t have to do it for long, rest is far more important! Mac enjoys car rides, watching TV and just relaxing! (5/04)
Brady
Brady was adopted in 1999 at the age of 2. He was a very abused and neglected lab that was in poor health. Brady is now in a home that loves him! He loves to go for walks, sunbathe in the backyard and nap in his favorite chair. As with any lab, Brady loves to “vacuum” under the high chair! (5/04)
Bridgette
IN MEMORY OF BRIDGETTE, WHO CROSSED THE RAINBOW BRIDGE IN DECEMBER, 2004. In 1994, Bridgette was adopted by her new family - she was 15 months old. Bridgette takes a morning walk and then retires to the family room where she does NOT read the morning paper, she would rather nap a bit. She barks at the delivery men and the mailman just to keep on top of things during the day. In the evening she loves to gossip at the fence with the neighbor’s dog. Bridgette has 2 human siblings and is the hostess and mentor to many LRR foster dogs. (4/04)
Bubba
IN MEMORY OF BUBBA, WHO CROSSED THE RAINBOW BRIDGE IN NOVEMBER, 2006. Bubba was adopted in 1997 at the age of 3.5. Bubba has quite a schedule. He chases the geese from the pond daily - and takes a little dip on occassion while he takes care of this important job. What Bubba loves most is checking out the groundhog holes–as in the photo. Oh, and he likes to visit with the neighbors, nap, and “water” the flowers in the garden. As you can see Bubba is happy, healthy and very active in keeping the household under control. (5/04)
Digger
IN MEMORY OF DIGGER. HE CROSSED THE RAINBOW BRIDGE IN JUNE 2007. Digger was adopted in 1998 at the age of 5. He is in great health, and still very puppylike. He plays “Me and My Shadow” daily - following his people all around! Digger is always alerted by the rustle of celephane food wrappings and refrigerator door openings, must be a lab thing! Digger is enjoying his “second chance” at life. (5/04)
Mandy
IN MEMORY OF MANDY. SHE CROSSED THE RAINBOW BRIDGE IN FEBRUARY 2011, AT THE AGE OF 17. Mandy was adopted in 1997. Mandy is another early riser…getting her Mom up also! And if Mom forgets to close the bedroom door or leaves bread on the counter - Mandy relaxes on the bed all day while enjoying the bread! Mandy loves to swim and ususally goes to the lake a few nights a week. Mandy, like many labs, had a torn cruciate ligament that needed repair, and she has epilepsy - BUT Mandy is loving life and doing great! (5/04)
Quinn
IN MEMORY OF QUINN. HE CROSSED THE RAINBOW BRIDGE IN MARCH 2005. Quinn was adopted in 1998 at the age of 2.5. Quinn is an early riser so he can bark at the squirrels and deer in the yard, and of course, ensuring that his people are up early to watch! He loves to play ball, eat, play ball and eat some more! Quinn is quite the swimmer too, which is good for his arthitis. 5/04
Shiloh
IN MEMORY OF SHILOH. SHE CROSSED THE RAINBOW BRIDGE IN MARCH 2004, AT THE AGE OF 13.
Shiloh was adopted at the age of 3. She had a wonderful, happy life. She loved to take walks, follow her “person” from room to room, and just keep her eye on things. Shiloh was one of LRR’s early adoptions–her LRR number was 25. Shiloh will truly be missed. (3/04)
Gibson
IN MEMORY OF GIBSON. HE CROSSED THE RAINBOW BRIDGE IN AUGUST 2010, AT THE AGE OF 14. Gibson was adopted with Dolly in 1998 because they were inseparable. Now seven, he’s enjoying life to the fullest. He likes spending time at the beach in Maryland, but he’s not too much of a water dog. It’s playing in the sun and sand that he enjoys. Gibson’s least favorite thing is storms. But hanging out under his mom or dad’s feet makes it all OK. (4/04)
Trevor
IN MEMORY OF TREVOR. HE CROSSED THE RAINBOW BRIDGE IN NOVEMBER 2008, AT THE AGE OF 13. Trevor was adopted in 2000 and became Sundance’s brother. He’s now nine, and likes to be the family protector. Unlike Sundance, Trevor is more of a sniffer than a chaser and just likes to check things out in the backyard. When it’s time to call it a day, he likes to stretch out on the sofa, next to mom, to watch TV and then head to bed to sleep in his very own pillow. (4/04)
Hogan
IN MEMORY OF HOGAN, WHO CROSSED THE RAINBOW BRIDGE IN APRIL, 2005. Hogan was adopted in 1996. He loved to play ball and swim endlessly. He liked to share his things with his new little brother Enzo (another LLR dog) and would admit, on a good day, that he actually liked the new kid. And, on occasion, Hogan would be seen sharing his bed with his brother. (4/04)
Huey
IN MEMORY OF HUEY. HE CROSSED THE RAINBOW BRIDGE IN JANUARY 2007. Huey, now 10, was adopted in 1996 and joined his younger dog brother, Max. Huey likes to lounge around the house with his brother and the rest of the family. He enjoys spending time in the backyard and lounging on the deck. When it’s dinner time, you can find Huey hanging out at the dinner table, waiting for those dinner scraps. Yum! (4/04)
Coleman
IN MEMORY OF COLEMAN. HE CROSSED THE RAINBOW BRIDGE IN FEBRUARY 2008. Coleman was adopted in March of 2001 and is seven years old. Coleman came to LRR through a Pennsylvania shelter. He’s a big, gentle boy and is a Canine Good Citizen. Coleman loves to play with his brother and sister (dogs, too!), toys, chew bones and his mommy. He likes to spend time outdoors, playing or talking to the neighbors. When it’s time for bed, he likes to sleep on the pillows, snoring. (4/04)
Dolly
IN MEMORY OF DOLLY, WHO CROSSED THE RAINBOW BRIDGE IN FEBRUARY, 2005. Dolly is at the gentle age of 12. She was adopted from LRR in 1998. Dolly still likes to go for walks and likes greeting those she meets, in the hopes of getting some attention. As with most senior dogs, Dolly is experiencing some hip problems. But those massages feel so good! The best part of Dolly’s day is simply making her family smile. (4/04)
