Hi all my lab friends. Just wanted to drop you a line to give you an update. I’ve been in my forever home for almost 2 months now. Boy do I love it here! I settled in just like I had been here forever. My mom says she can’t believe how well I settled in. It’s like we were made for one another. I’m sure glad she found me or I found her. Anyway, I do know I stole her heart and that’s good enough for me.

I do have to let you all know that when my mom first got me, I was still recovering from ACL surgery. She took such good care of me and gave me lots of TLC! Which I’m still getting. But, she was a trooper, even when it was raining, out we went on leash walks for a month!

I’ve been so busy in the last 2 months I don’t know where to begin. When my mom took me to the vets, all the girls just fell in love with me. The doc said my knee was stable and doing excellent. I even got a bandana to match my collar. Also, my mom takes me with here where ever she goes. I’ve been to the flower nursery with her a couple of times. All the girls over there love me too! I’ve just got those eyes that melt your heart when you look at me.

Some of my favorite things to do is give lots and lots of kisses, take lots of naps, lay at my mom’s feet, curl up next to her on the couch and stroll around the yard. My mom likes to work in the garden a lot and I love just laying there watching her do all the work. Mom tries to get me to play fetch, but my idea of this game is her throwing the ball, I run to get it and then lay down and roll around in the grass. Oh, I also like chasing the bunnies, squirrels and birds away! (obviously my knee is doing really well now). The only problem is, mom always roots for the bunny. I have lots of dog friends in my neighborhood too!

I think my most favorite thing is going for rides in the car. My mom has to spell that word to people if we really aren’t going because I get so excited when I hear it!

I have such a great extended family, when my mom is working, my Pop comes up everyday to see me. We go out and wander the yard, I lay at his feet and he even has me hooked on watching “All My Children”! Still don’t know who all the characters are yet, but I’m trying to catch up.

Well, it’s been a long day strolling around the yard and I’m getting awfully tired, so it’s time for me to go take another nap!
